Plot Summary

The movie revolves around Nandagopan (played by Mohanlal), a respected dance teacher at the Kerala Kalamandalam. His life takes a tragic turn when his wife, Sumangala (played by Parvathi), commits suicide. This event leads Nandagopan to become an alcoholic and a compulsive rule breaker. Despite being suspected of his wife's death, he is given a reprieve due to his reputation. He trains a talented student, Malavika (played by Monisha), to perform in his ambitious composition of the Sita Kalyanam. However, their relationship is complicated by Malavika's jealous lover, Soman (played by Vineeth), who poisons Nandagopan.
